next book: Power to Save the World by Gwyneth Cravens

Yes, yes, I know that I've been slow in updating this blog...

Anyway, for those who don't know, our next book is about nuclear power:
Power to Save the World by Gwyneth Cravens. Here's her web site to get more info.

I'd originally announced Mon. Jan 21, but I think that given the holiday, we all need a bit more time to read the book. So I think we'll meet again sometime in early February. Time to be announced soon...

So I read part of this book, And I was turned off by it.

The lyrical aspect of it specially, plus the information was way to basic for me and It bored me to death.

The lyrical aspect of it, let me explain: her novelist way of writing was not of my liking, not that I do not like it when science becomes literary, just her particular way of writing seemed to be a bit out of place and perpetuated my boredom.

I had to drop it and began reading peer reviewed journals instead for a pass time which I brought with me on trip just in case...

Incidentally, I began to read the book when I was visiting Los Alamos,

how ironic...

I think I may have passed some of the places she mentioned at the beggining. ..Indeed, it seems it was all built in American Indian Land.
